OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
PHYSIO MED, INC's Occupational Therapist will assess and rehabilitate patients with dysfunctions in Active Daily Living like:
(Dressing,
washing, eating) or in their work environment (Lifting, positioning,
repetitive motion problems).
They provide
Hand therapy, they use orthosis, splinting, massage and taping techniques.

SPEECH / LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
The purpose of the assessment is to
decide the nature of the patient's communication problem. Sometimes assessment may take place over two or three sessions.
From the outcome of the Assessment it is then possible to provide
treatment, advice and support.
This Therapy can take different forms
Direct speech and language therapy - work on a one to one basis with the patient
Indirect therapy - advise to cares and those involved within the patient's direct environment
Monitoring of progress at regular intervals, advice / activities suggested for home use between intervals
The number and frequency of appointments will vary from patient to patient, according to their individual needs. We will also provide Speech Therapy in your Home setting or in an Assisted Living Facility.
